ABOUT ME

Hey there! My name is Caysi Lewis and I am a senior at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC. I am currently studying English and Business with the intent of beginning a career in the field of communications post-grad. I am a proud Wofford Terrier, and on campus I am involved in Greek Life, the Ethics Bowl program of South Carolina, Reformed University Fellowship, and the Health and Wellness Committee.

Outside of these extracurriculars, I am enthusiastic about promoting discourse on issues surrounding mental health. This blog aims to provide a deeper understanding of self-care and its properties of alleviating the stressors of mental health, if properly implemented.

MY PURPOSE

This blog was created under the leadership of Rebecca Parrish in Wofford College's Grants department. Under her supervision, I invest my creative writing skills in hopes of promoting the progress and success of Wofford professor Dr. Courtney Dorroll.

Dr. Dorroll's grant, provided by the Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education, or NetVUE, seeks to identify ways in which self-care can be implemented into the academy to further the vocational and personal success of undergraduate students.

This blog will both expand and highlight Dr. Dorroll's accomplishments and research through the use of interviews, literature reviews, and personal investigation. As a student, I offer a unique perspective on the impact of her work, and more generally, the grant that made it possible.
